Journey to Sweet Potato Cottage

Amidst the hustle and bustle of my everyday life, I decided to pause and create something new. This blog is a fresh space for me to create, share, and learn new things. Hi, my name is Zia. I am a wife and mother of two children (14 and 9 years old). Thank you so much for reading my blog. I decided to start Sweet Potato Cottage because I wanted a space to share the beauty of ordinary life. Over the past 8 years, I have been on a hamster wheel, completing school and focusing on joining the workforce. Now that I’ve achieved that, something still feels like it’s missing. I’m beginning to miss the slow days of being a stay-at-home mom—cooking, cleaning, crafting, and watching my children grow up without that constant rush. That’s why I’m here. I want to intentionally focus on and share the work of a wife and mother and enjoy its calm and beauty. Giving selflessly to others is such a gift. I wish to slow down and savor this special time.
